March/April 2019 – Enjoying the Coachella Valley

With knee surgery completed and much of our time in the desert dedicated to rehab, we spent the balance of our time enjoying family and our time at Desert Shadows RV Resort… A few of Joanne’s favorite pass times while being here have been enjoying: Some of the wildlife around our campsite including: A nesting Hummingbird on the adjacent site and the frequent stops by Roadrunners and a few nesting ducks in the greenway Relaxing time working on her jigsaw

February 2019 – Rest, Resort Living, Rehab…

So the plans in January were aggressive though we accomplished what we had intended. Arriving at Desert Shadows RV Resort on Friday February 1st defintely worked out, and after setting up, getting laundry done, and then packing we departed first thing Saturday morning for Long Beach, CA where we would board the Ruby Princess for our 7 day cruise to Mexico… We drove with my sister Pat that morning through the Banning Pass, Hemet, Redlands, and ultimately LA which all

January 2019 – Go West…

We all have heard that saying -“Go West Young Man…” though I guess we didn’t take it to heart until we retired this year. Part of our retirement travel plans for 2019 have us spending the months of Feb.- April in Palm Desert, CA close to my Mom, sisters and in the great weather of the Coachella Valley. January 2019 – RV Upgrades, Modifications, Improvements, and fixes…

With the start of 2019 and before our departure from Florida we had several maintenance, service items, and upgrades to complete… (This is an understatement once you see this list…) Drivability/Handling: Since buying our 2017 Newmar Baystar I have been on a mission to improve the handling and drivability of our Coach.
