Summer 2020 – The California Central Coast – (Sitting out Covid…)

We arrived at Hearst-San Simeon State Park in Cambria, CA to begin our summer camp-hosting volunteer position with California Parks the last week of June. We arrived before our actual start date of July 1st so we could get some orientation and training completed prior to the responsibilities hand-off from our friends Michael & Imkelina (Instagram @ourwaypoints & instagram @rayd84life) who were headed next to the Oregon coast. Being in lockdown for several months with the COVID situation and having our travel plans disrupted for Spring, Summer , and Fall 2020 due to the unpredictability of this Pandemic, restrictions, closures, and (most importantly) our safety, we really started searching for alternatives for the next adventure on this “Revolutionary Journey”… We remind ourselves how fortunate we are everyday given the challenges so many others are battling in this Pandemic. 2020 – Starting off the new year with some trips?

With Christmas now behind us we didn’t waste any time getting back into some travels plans. This was the first Holiday in many years that we hadn’t gotten to see our kids.
